Tim White
Recruitment Coordinator
Firefighter Paramedic Tim White, Recruitment Coordinator, is a veteran of the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, with more than 17-years of experience. He enjoys being the hands of the company as a firefighter and as a paramedic. Firefighter Paramedic White has been assigned to one of Metro Fire truck companies for the past ten years and he considers it the best job in the fire service. He joined Metro Fire TEMS as a tactical paramedic in 2007 and currently serves as Team Leader. As a TEMS team member, Tim has had the opportunity to work with multiple SWAT teams and he considers that experience a privilege. He has also trained for REM team assignments and is a member of Metro Fire's UAV program.
Before joining the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, Tim worked as a paramedic with AMR in Contra Costa County for two years. He also has prior experience working in the trades as a sheet metal worker. Tim was fortunate to have a family friend that worked for the City of San Jose Fire Department that shared pursuing the fire service as a career in 1999. He has had multiple mentors along the way; however, that initial suggestion made all the difference and changed the course of his life.
